Ms. Frida Karani – Conference Liaison Officer

Ms. Frida Karani is the Assistant Registrar (Vice-Chancellor’s Office) at the University of Embu. A sociologist and strategist by training, she brings to the Sustainable Climate Action in Africa Conference (SCAAC) over 10 years’ experience in management of funded programmes,  research and practice in contemporary community dynamics, social development and organizational strategy for social impact. She is an ardent advocate of youth and gender mainstreaming in environment and climate action at the community level. Ms. Karani is the founder of the Sustainable Climate Action in Africa Conference. It was her passion in livelihoods and environmental sustainability that inspired her to found the Conference. She coordinates the alignment and implementation of conference activities towards realization of the SCAAC Vision. She is the Conference Liaison Officer, Team-leader (Conference Secretariat), Convenor (Conference Documentary Production) and Convenor (Conference Website Development).
